The GPMC™ ringed roller has similar advantages and disadvantages as other composite ringed rollers, except the GPMC™ material has higher temperature capability and can effectively operate in the C zone. New Hudson first offered this material in 2000. Since then select installations in Europe have performed acceptably.

The material is very hard and resists cullet damage. It will not allow pieces of glass to become imbedded into the surface and the ringed design promotes better air circulation around the roller. The low thermal conductivity of the material would not contribute to chill cracks or other thermal cold end glass bottom quality problems. Please contact us for more information to determine if GPMC™ is right for your float glass application.
